It's time for the yearly census. If you obey you've got nothing to fear, foreigner.

Wow... This game is brutal lol. But I think it's quite good for the message it's trying to get across!

Really serves as a satire of how some people think about these sorts of things. I honestly am not well accustomed to some of the game's subject matters, like if there are controversies, false information, or whatever. But it's a cool twist to see how extreme the measures go to ensure the "safety of the nation".

The story is very candid, immersive, and responsive (I love how the little symbols by the answer choices change based on choices)! And the little "twist" at one ending, how it's set up by your relationship with Emily, is very good storytelling.

All it really needs is some polish; Maybe a cool font, some sfx, maybe some moody noises and effects depending on the nature of your choice.

Nice!

Hey, thanks for stopping by.

I moved around a lot for work in my adult life, and had to deal with government paperwork a ton. A couple of those places were really authoritarian. I'm not religious at all but one of my fellow foreigners told me how at the border they'd arrest you if you had a bible because proselytizing was illegal, never mind if it was for personal use only.  Government paperwork has this really droning and dry quality to it that I wanted to bring across.

If you're any kind of minority paperwork becomes a terrible hurdle and if the wrong people are in charge can become even a danger to your privacy and well-being.

Anyway thanks again! Check the comment I left on your demo, it's a really cute game and you should keep working on it!

It's always so cool when people use their life experiences, good or bad, to write awesome stories :)
